What is a Geo-Fence?

A geo-fence is a virtual perimeter for a real-world geographic area. A geo-fence generated by the lone worker device is a predefined set of boundaries that activates the device if the invisible boundary has been crossed.

The GPS Tracker device uses GPS, GPRS or cellular data to trigger an alert to management when the lone worker device enters or exits a virtual boundary set up around a geofence location.

Some businesses use geofences to monitor activity in secure areas, allowing management to see alerts when anyone enters or leaves a specific area such as a secure warehouse or airfield. Businesses can also use geofencing to monitor employees in the field, keeping track of employees ensuring they are where they are supposed to be.

Geofencing has become a standard practice for many companies. Once a geographic area has been defined, the health & safety aspects, security, and as management of individuals can become invaluable.

With a personal GPS tracker, location finder- no matter how spread out your team might be, you’ll be able to see exactly where they are throughout the day to make sure they are where they are supposed to be.
